Sunday morning bible study |
|
Each Sunday morning, members of the congregation gather for a study of the Gospel lesson for the week. The size of the group ranges from Matthew's mandate of two or three ("where two or three are gathered...") to a dozen, and on better days, we hear the voices of folks from all continents. These voices "accent" the given text by bringing to our attention the diverse perspectives of/about the Bible and the faith of folks from around the world. An ongoing principle of our time together is to ask a question not only of the text but of ourselves, "of what earthly good is this text for our life together as people of God as we live in but not of the world." We attempt to understand the Bible in its diversity, and we welcome the challenge of that diversity and its interrogation.
Time and place:
Sundays at 10h00 Spaghetti Factory (rue de la Fontaine 13 - close to the church)
