the Small Catechism

Small Catechism

This year marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation

Martin Luther wrote his Small Catechism as a concise summary of the Christian faith, and for centuries it has been studied by confirmation students and others seeking an understanding of Christianity.

Miriam Deffenbaugh will be leading a Tuesday evening class on the Small Catechism during the fall.  19h30 - 21h00  in the Gemeinderaum at the church

The class will start 26 September and will run for seven weeks; course books are available for Chf 15. It's perfect for those who are new to Christianity or the Lutheran tradition and also for those who studied the catechism long ago and want to dig a little deeper. Interested in joining?

Send a note to Miriam or the church office, or sign up on an upcoming Sunday morning.

More information on the course is here on this link.

Centering Prayer group, also on Tuesday evenings:

Centering Prayer – Tuesdays Centering Prayer is a form of Christian contemplative prayer—a practice of silence and stillness, making ourselves available to and aware of God’s presence.

A group is meeting to practice Centering Prayer on an on-going basis on Tuesday evenings in the church Sanctuary at 18h00.

All are welcome to join; no experience necessary!

A message from André about his experience with the centering prayer sessions.
